Since the days of Freaknik, Black Spring Break has evolved into more than just Black College Spring Break. Folks -- young & old -- nationwide have gotten into the celebration! Starting with the Black College Reunion and  BET Spring Bling in March, the fun culminates with a host of events Black Beach Week.

With many colleges and universities offering Spring Break Alternatives, Black students looking to do more than just party and/or hang out at the beach can take part in organized community service projects. The really industrious will make their way to a number of job fairs being held over spring break.

The  Black College Spring Break National Job Fair , which is sponsored by the National Security Agency, is actually the last remaining remnent of Freaknik. This annual event is being held April 18th, 2009 at the Georgia International Convention Center from 9am - 5pm.
